The Fidra course at Archerfield Links is a 2004 David J. Russell design near Dirleton in East Lothian, named for the small island and lighthouse just offshore. It starts in Scots pine woodland and finishes over open links land. The Perry Bros play it on October 20, 2026, day 1 of our Scotland trip.

About Fidra

Archerfield has two courses, Fidra and Dirleton, both designed by David J. Russell. Fidra is named after the island of Fidra and its lighthouse, which sit just off the coast and are said to have inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.

The opening holes wind through Scots pine woodland; from the par-3 12th to the finish the course plays across open links ground.
